Bilam is a Sanskrit word Which means Cave. Guttikonda is a Name of Village. Guthikonda Caves (also spelt as Guttikonda Caves) in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh have been tantalizing archeologists and historians for ages since they are repositories of mysteries of India’s ancient heritage. Guthikonda Caves are situated near Karampudi, which is about 38 km from Narasaraopet in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. Located at 30.2 km WxNW of Narasaraopet, 38.0 km W of Sattenapalle, 39.3 km NxNE of Vinukonda, 43.2 km ExSE of Macherla. This is the Chanting Place of Muchukunda Maha Muni. According to History there are about 108 Bilams. But we can visit 5 to 6 Bilams easily. According old landscape we can find Palanati Nagamma Statue at Entrance. We have Temples of Muchukunda Maha Muni, Anjaneya Swamy, Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi, Siddi Vinayaka Swami, Bala Malleswara Swami, Nava Grahalu, Holy Snake Houses, Tombs of Yogini Kola Peramambha and Many other people who gave their services to pilgrims at this place. We can find Somany Siva Lingas like Chikati Mallayya inside the cave.
