Sri Varada Gopala Swamy Temple is located at Kovvur in West Godavari of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Krishna is the presiding deity here in the form of Sri Varada Gopala Swamy with His consorts Satyabhama and Rukmini Devi.
History of the Temple
The temple architecture is beautiful with dainty prakaras and adorned walls with suclptural images. Lord Dasanjaneya and mount Garuda are the other deities in the Temple.

Legend of the Temple
The main shrine is associated with the episode of a Gomaata named Vogu which died in the result of being driven out by saints. The temple is believed to have been erected by these saints as per the advice of Lord Gopala Swamy to get relieved from the sin.

Special Poojas and Festivals
Kalyanotsavam is celebrated annually where devotees turn into large numbers. Other festivals like, Mukkoti Ekadasi, Magha suddha Ekadasi are also celebrated in the temple.

Kovvur is mandal in west Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of river Godavari. The place will be organizing Godavari pushkaralu. A large number of devotees will be attending the event. There will be pushkar ghats along the river Godavari, as pilgrims take bath as soon as they enter river. There are many temples in Kovvur namely sivalayam, Ramalayam, sri Shirdi sai baba temple. Goudeeya Muttamu is situated in this town where many sri Krishna bhajans take place every day.
