About Us: Sri Venkateswara Temple
The temple located in Zahirabad (V), and (M), Medak District lies about 90 Km from Hyderabad. The Venkateswara temple consists of garbhagriha and mukhamandapa. In side the garbhagraha the idol carved in granite stone. The image in standing posture in 4 hands holding sankha Chakra in upper two hands while the lower 2 hands are in Varada and Katihasta posture. Behind it there is another temple with garbhagriha and antarala dedicated to Panduranga and Rukmini. These temples with northern style shikara and the verandah with dwarf pillars and arches. Originally these temples dated back to 13th-14th C.A.D. and subsequently renovated in 18th C.A.D.
