Sri Maha Ganapathi Temple





Sri Maha Ganapathi Temple is located at Vedayapalem in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Ganapathi is the presiding deity here.


History of the Temple


Sri Maha Ganapathi Temple was built by a devotee Sri Penchalaiah Ramisetty Garu in 1991. He has an immense desire to built Vinayaka temple from his childhood. First he started Aalaya Sankustapana activities at Talpagiri Colony. But one day before Aalaya Sankustapana he heard Lord Vinayaka’s voice in his dream and Lord ordered him to build the temple at Sapthagiri Colony. Next day Penchalaiah Garu stopped all the activities and reinitiated to build the temple at the present location. While workers were busy in digging land for foundations at Garbha Aalayam, Fresh water oozing out at one feet depth. It reminded the purpose of choosing this land by Lord Maha Ganapathi that HE decided to wash away the sins of His devotees and to protect them and grant victory to them in their tasks.


Special Poojas and Festivals


Apart from regular poojas and abhishekhams, special poojas are performed on festive occasions. Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated with much devotion and gaiety.
